Background

Chase has worked in the IT industry since 1991.  He spent seven years consulting on PeopleSoft projects across the United Status, Europe, and Japan before moving into IT management.  He currently runs the offshore offices for a leading European consulting company.

Chase returned to Credit Suisse to help with a technical upgrade to their PeopleSoft environment.  In the course of the project Credit Suisse upgraded from Oracle 8.1.7 to Oracle 9.2.06, AIX 4.3 to AIX 5.1, upgraded the web and application server hardware, performed a PeopleTools upgrade, introduced PKI, and moved the PeopleSoft servers behind an internal firewall.

·         Responsible for tuning online performance (application, database, web server, application server layers)

·         Integrated Entrust PKI on Weblogic to enable trusted single signon for PeopleSoft 8 Financials, PeopleSoft 8.4 HRMS, and PeopleSoft 8.8 Learning Management

Chase went to WFS three months before go-live to sort out production showstoppers and tune the environment.

·         Integrated the nightly PeopleSoft financials batch with ESP (a third party scheduler)

·         Reviewed overall system and application security for the financials database.

PeopleSoft 8.1 Financials Development Team Lead

After a successful ‘Go-Live’ in Zurich, Chase was asked to be the lead the financial services team for an upgrade to release 8.1.

·         Managed team of 5 developers

·         Responsible for upgrading all customizations from releases 7.5 to 8.1.

·         Responsible for managing all customizations associated with the implementation of Asset Management, VAT, and Cost Accounting

·         Responsible for production support of over 2000 users

 

PeopleSoft 7.5 Financials GL Production Support

Banamex – Mexico City, Mexico

Chase went to Banamex to address inconsistencies and performance problems within PeopleSoft GL.

·         Implemented archiving/maintenance plans to give 25% performance gains throughout GL.

·         Re-organized DB2 and modified various programs to allow parallel processing.

 

PeopleSoft 7.5 Financials Implementation

Toyota Motor Corporation – Nagoya, Japan

Chase joined the Toyota implementation as a junior development resource.  He eventually became the technical team lead for GL development.

·         Designed, developed, and tested new on-line Journal and Ledger inquiries.

·         Tuned and customized summary ledger, GL edit, and post COBOL programs.

·         Designed and implemented row-level security for ledgers and journals.

·         Responsible for multiple other customizations to make PeopleSoft usable in a double-byte environment and become compatible with Japanese government regulations.

 

PeopleSoft 7.0 and 7.5 HR Implementation

Charles Schwab – San Francisco, CA

Chase was tasked with the implementation of a PeopleSoft Payroll Customization at Charles Schwab. 

·         Created a C API to interface Netscape’s Enterprise Server with Braintree’s security software.

·         Wrote Server-Side JavaScript Paystub to be used a printable report from within the PeopleSoft Web Client.

Worked with NCR’s warehouse and assembly plant in North Atlanta to streamline their sales to delivery planning.  By identifying and utilizing internal data resources we were able to increase the warehouse planning visibility from one day to five days.
