Well, we decided not to go to Japan. It came down to Ai trying to decide if she'd like to go by herself. With one of her best friends getting married, it would have been a good time for her to have her first break in years, but in the end there is just too much going on to make the trip possible. Instead, she decided to stay home to spend time with the family. It's been years since I took a vacation, so it will be nice to spend the uninterupted time together. Now the hard part is deciding where to go for the next two weeks!

On the work front, Singapore is coming fast. I've sent off offer letters to two candidates, and I hope to have two more go out within the next week. I'm really hoping everyone accepts! We've talked to over 60 candidates, and so I guess that means I like 1 out of every 15-20 that we talk too.

I'm was planning on being in Singapore by April 1st, but based on all that has to happen before moving, I'm thinking it will be a week later or so. Before moving, I've got my vacation, packing and moving back to Dallas from Zurich, and getting the wife and kids settled enough in Dallas that I can go to Singapore. Hopefully, the family will be ready to move by the end of April.

That's it for tonight. I think I might start posting some random thoughts here in the next couple of days. It's a little easier to think about things like IPODS, consulting, and the problems with Singapore banks than the daily grind...
